Warehouse & Logistics Associate

Department: Warehouse

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Associate to join our team onsite in Bedford, MA. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to ensure stock is maintained and moved efficiently to meet customer requirements while providing administrative support for logistics and distribution operations. In addition, this individual will work internally with corporate compliance as well as externally with third-party logistics vendors as needed. They also must possess strong organizational skills, and be able to work hands-on in a warehouse. This includes the ability to operate general warehouse-powered equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.               

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor and release OEM and customer orders
  • Use web and carrier contacts to monitor and track inbound containers and to create and maintain commercial invoices for international freight
  • Arrange daily transportation needs including post-delivery tasks
  • Monitor internal classifications for all materials and communicate changes within FRMU team
  • Accurately process inventory receipts and movements
  • Check FTP (internal file from Japan) and file ISFs (import security filings). Work closely with HLUS compliance group to assure business activities are within Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) regulations
  • Create high-level analytical reports on transportation costs and trends
  • Generate inventory and open order reports and ensure posted and complete
  • Request spot quotes for shipments to ensure price competitive rates
  • Initiate and reconcile inventory discrepancies during warehouse cycle counts on a monthly basis
  • Loading and unloading of trucks; staging materials for production to ensure uninterrupted workflow
  • Provide support and strong communication to the Logistics and Distribution department on various projects and teams, as needed
  • Understand, maintain and perform work according to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Perform other duties assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associateís Degree preferred
  • 2 - 4 years utilizing an ERP, SAP preferred
  • 2 - 4 years of warehouse experience, manufacturing environment preferred
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Experience operating warehouse powered equipment

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
