Data Management Solutions- Sales Engineer

We provide data center customers and industry partners with mid-range and enterprise data tape formats such as unique data center accessories, value-added services, and archival solutions.

Job Summary: FUJIFILM is a global leader in data storage manufacturing and data management solutions.  We are hiring for the role of a Sales Engineer to be part of a growing FUJIFILM Data Management Solutions Team.   If you're excited to be part of a winning team, have top technical skills and a customer-first-focus, working at Fujifilm is a great place to grow your career. As a member of the Data Management Solutions team, you would be working together with Channel Account Managers to drive product sales and adoption through Fujifilmís value-added reseller (VAR) channel to customers in North American. This is an amazing opportunity to work for a global top 50 technology company.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide product-focused presentations to customers and VARs.
  • Plan detailed client-focused presentations  about product info, pricing, and benefits
  • Provide technical due diligence to ensure proper product fit and alignment with customerís stated objectives
  • Provide solution-based architectural support for accounts, producing notional architectures
  • Manage the delivery of Fujifilm's Data Management Solutions products
  • Provide Technical Product support for a customer proof of concepts
  • Technical account management ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Stay knowledgeable and current in the industry trends, technologies, and  research by continuing to read and study to maintain skill set, industry, and product knowledge
  • Acquire new customers by winning them over from competitors and discovering new opportunities
  • Build and maintain solid customer relationships through the entire pre/post sales lifecycle


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience:

  • 5+ Years in business-to-business (B2B) technical pre-sales focused on data storage and data management best practices
  • 10+ years in delivering software-based data management solutions for an OEM or VAR
  • Bachelor's Degree required. B.S. in Computer Science preferred
  • Technical Proficiency and fluency in cloud storage technologies like  REST, AWS S3 APIs, AWS Glacier
  • Must be a team player and self-starter and ready to work as a product and industry subject matter expert in cross-functional teams supporting corporate marketing and product management efforts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Data management expert with tape-based solutions for data protection, archiving and, cold storage
  • Must be proficient in Linux systems administration, systems architecture, and troubleshooting. 
  • Shell scripting experience in LINUX with a solid understanding of command-line tools for searching, parsing and collecting system and software logs
  • Have good negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high-stress sales environment and multitask
